Okay so he's half Kenyan half Tanzanian but that's not about to stop us from being proud of him is it? Sixteen year old Sanni M. Mairura who's lived in Texas for probably his whole life has a Tanzanian mom and a Kenyan dad can even speak some Kiswahili.
He made it to the auditions and even managed to impress Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj both judges on the show, making it past stage one singing Michael Jackson's 'Who's Loving You'. Check it out;
So there you go; our first African –Kenyan affiliated contestant. Sanni here can sing, dance and is guaranteed to make a big name for himself in Africa even if he doesn't win that –which he hope he does.
