The Vice-Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, Mr Hui Liangyu, on Thursday held separate talks with President Jakaya Kikwete and Prime Minister Mizengo Pinda in Dar es Salaam.
The People’s Republic of China’s Vice-Premier, Mr Hui LiangyuThe talks, held in camera are aimed to push forward political, economic and people-to-people exchanges and cooperation, particularly the agriculture co-operation for joint response to global food crisis between the two countries.
A press release issued earlier by the Chinese Embassy in Dar es Salaam said the two countries will also sign agreements and MoUs in areas of great concern to Tanzania, such as agriculture, food security, energy and infrastructure development. Mr Hui who has been invited by Mr Pinda, arrived in Dar es Salaam.
